Cleaned today and did laundry. I actually enjoyed myself, even if I am now tired. Having a clean and uncluttered space might be an anathema to my established habits, but I prefer it so much over mess. It's frustrating that I can't seem to keep my space clean, and everytime I do this major cleaning session, I promise myself I'll do better next time and keep it that way. If things are dirty around me, it affects everything I do-- I won't cook for myself, I won't dress nicely, I won't write or draw as much as I should, and heaven forefend I read or do any craft projects. It's one of the few exceptionally nasty associations I have that I can't pinpoint *why* I have it. I mean, I understand why I'm so messy-- I'm lazy as shit, and dirty space is normal for me.

Maybe it's some kind of neurotic punishment system for myself? Like if something isn't clean, I don't deserve good things? I don't know. Anyway, I'll finisdh up tommorrow, which includes tackling the dishes. At least they're only a month old this time.

My internet is unavaiable at the hosue, because I can't figure out my damn router. I think I need to install something on the laptop? Maybe? I don't know.

I also need to decide what to do with the newly freed up second bedroom . . . I'm thinking a pillow room. ANyone have any throw illows they don't want?

And where can a girl get cheap christmas lights this time of year?

Right, back to work.

last time i was there (several weeks ago) the westside goodwill had boxes and boxes of white xmas lights. don't know if they're still there but it might be worth a call/visit. also, you might check with the dollar store...i just recently learned just how cavernous their storage area is, so i wouldn't be suprised at all to learn that they had some hold-over xmas lites.
