Quick update

God, I've been freaking busy. My sleep schedule is suffering, though not as much as it could have been considering. Yay for me actually getting my homework done! This does leave me with, oh, SATURDAY to do my Liza costume for the Arcadia game, but, eh, whatcha gonna do. Somewhere in that I have to pack in a couple of watercolors, a huge bunch of sketchbook updates, studying for my final midterm and a homework response.
WHEEE.
Despite the madness, gaming is keeping me happy, if not sane. Crazy cool stuff last night in the Hounds game, crazy cool stuff in Memento, and crazy cool stuff in Abberant. I also have new appreciation for STs in general. Wrangling seven players who are new to a system, each other, and sometimes roleplaying is a herculean task.
I really need to use my next paycheck for personal health. And no, I don't mean shopping therapy . . . my glasses are now regular losing the left lense, and are so scratched up it's interfering with my being able to sketch from life effectively or read. I desperatly want contacts (though I have worn glasses since kindergarden, I still do not identify myself as wearing them in my head), but they kind of scare me. I also have a rather painful cavity that needs filling, probably should get a flu shot, and probably should get a general checkup from my doctor. Not to mention going to the gyno and getting my yearly testing for everything under the sun. Gotta be safe and responsible, yo. I want to get back on birth control, but I don't know what to use . . . I think I'm leaning towards the pill, but with my flakiness I'm kinda worried about trying that. The patch was such a boon! Whhhhyyyy did it have to be proven to be all stroke causing?
Yeah . . . that's enough TMI for today.
Gonna tag a couple more art recs onto this, cause I like sharing. OH, and though I'm sure mnay of you have seen this on
sapphohestia's LJ, this movie looks AWESOME. And i mean that in both the classical and modern sense: Pan's Labyrinth. She's right, too . . . start with the teaser.

selenya, I'm looking at you).
http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/9531363/ -- Holy crap, 3D art that I like!
http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/9544606/ -- I really like vertical compisitions. They evoke such stong emotions, whether it's awe, terror, love, or in this case loneliness.
http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/9056103/ -- Classic fandom humor.
http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/9563784/ -- And some sweet abstract art to round out the bunch. I find myself liking abstract creations more and more, enough that I'm thinking about doing a few of them myself.
